“I joined Hinks as an apprentice and my initial role was to contact clients about their renewals, picking up tips from my personal mentor and learning through in-house training.
“After completing further training on compliance and finance, I now manage the Personal Insurance Department, focusing on new business and renewals. I also manage our Household Scheme.
“If you are looking for a good career, come and join us - the training programme is well structured, my colleagues are very friendly and helpful, and the management are approachable and on hand to help.”
Filip Kowalewski, Personal Lines Account Handler, joined 2018
“I started at Hinks as a general administration apprentice, gaining confidence by greeting clients as they come to our office.
“My role involved supporting all staff, sorting the incoming and outgoing post, general reception duties and answering the switchboard. After successfully completing my initial induction, I was placed in the Claims Department as a Trainee Claims Handler and after learning so much. I now run the department.
“The support I get from all my colleagues is really good. There is always someone on hand to help and I love the fact I am still learning new things every day.”
Kira Needler, Claims Handler, joined 2019
“I joined Hinks on a 12-month Business Administration apprenticeship, starting my career in the Personal Insurance Department. After growing in confidence, I helped provide quotations to clients, set up policies and organised credit and finance.
“Following a promotion into the Commercial team, I moved to looking after High Networth clients, which was really interesting, and helped to look after client’s business insurance.
“If you want to join a company where you can develop and progress, Hinks will help you do this and you'll get to work with a lovely group of people.”
Jasmine Randerson, Commercial Account Handler, joined 2015

Sam Outing, Claims and Commercial Account Handler, joined July 2023
“I have settled in really well because the team are so welcoming and it feels like I’ve been here a lot longer than I have. I am well supported in my role and can see this being an excellent long-term career opportunity. We have access to good training opportunities and lots of extra support sessions, which helps with our development.”
